An Incandescent Interval considers a span of time that is held rather than passed through — a moment stretched beyond its natural limit, where experience stays active instead of settling into memory. Past, present, and future selves are not separated by sequence but gathered together, narrowing the distance between what has been, what is, and what is still forming. Incandescence becomes a metaphor for this sustained presence: something that hasn't cooled, that continues to glow. Like an afterimage that lingers longer than expected, the interval is a quietly pressurized space where thought, sensation, and identity remain suspended — suggesting that consciousness moves not only forward through time, but through the persistence of what refuses to recede.
