There are parts of the self we avoid not because they are unknown, but because they are not. Cave of Confrontation sits with what gets stored in the dark — the censored memories, suppressed instincts, and feelings that resist the surface. The cave does not offer shelter so much as inevitability. What lives there cannot be avoided forever; emergence is not escape but the beginning of a reckoning.
