044 Comstock is pleased to present Obscura, a solo show by Sophia Hashemi. Obscura investigates the shifting boundary between control and chaos. Darkness is treated, not as void, but as an active presence - dense alive and charged with the quiet forces of hiding survival and subversion. Within these processes, power move subtly: sometimes withheld, sometimes revealed always shaping how images are built, concealed, or undone. The familiar become strange, and the strange becomes a sight of possibility - a place where memory, intuition and material instinct converge.
